This is a portrait I did for my mixed media class. We used a 'wash and lift' technique in which you sketch out your image, lay down a coat of acryllic paint, let it dry and then lay down a darker shade of water color paint. After that I took a wet brush and lifted out the highlights before adding in a brighter acryllic on top.
Figure is Allen Iverson, one of my all-time favorite basketball players.
Ok, just now I realized I never really put the password to confirm my comment. So on the first post it was lost as well.
ReplyDeleteAt first, I wanted to say how cool is that we both decided to give the blogs a shot at the same time! I hope you can keep it up!
And now I want to tell you how beautiful your work is! You know I've been always a fan of it, but you're stepping on a whole other level! You are so talented! Don't ever give up on your dreams! You know you have my support from whenever we are!
Love,
Baby Sis
Yeah that is cool that we both had the idea for our blogs at the same time, feels like something we're doing together which makes it more fun ^^
ReplyDeleteAnd aww, thanks so much! I'll do my best to keep it up ;)
